Requirements

  • x86 64-bit CPU (Intel / AMD architecture)
  • Linux: RHEL 6/7, 64-bit (almost all libraries also work in Ubuntu)
  • Operating system: Linux- Ubuntu 16.04 to 17.10, or Windows 7 to 10, with 2GB RAM (4GB preferable)
  • You have to install Python 3.6 and related packages, please follow the installation instructions given below as per your operating system.
  • In the terminal, run the command sudo apt-get install python3.6
  • The terminal will prompt you for your password, type it in to the terminal.
  • Install Numpy, IPython and Matplotlib Libraries
  • Type in the following commands followed by the Enter key: python -m pip install numpy, python -m pip install ipython, python -m pip install matplotlib
  • To Check if Numpy, Matplotlib and Ipython are Installed Correctly: Open the terminal by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T keys together
  • Run the command ipython3 and press Enter to open the IPython console.
  • Python v3.9.1 is the first version supporting macOS 11 Big Sur. With Xcode 11 and later it is now possible to build “Universal 2” binaries which work on Apple Silicon.
